VITREUS VNODES TERMS OF USE

1. Acceptance of Terms

By acquiring, configuring, or operating a vNode, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, refrain from using vNodes immediately.

2. Definitions

  • vNode: A hardware device designed for validating blockchain transactions and securing the Vitreus network.
  • Validator: An individual or entity operating a vNode to support network operations.
  • Delegator: A user delegating VTRS tokens to a validator through the Collaborative Staking Marketplace.
  • Collaborative Staking Marketplace: A platform for token delegation to vNode operators.

3. License and Use

License Grant: Vitreus grants users a limited, non-transferable, and revocable license to operate vNodes for validating transactions and participating in staking activities.

Prohibited Use: vNodes must not be used:
  • To engage in unauthorized activities or disrupt network operations.
  • In a manner violating any local, state, or international laws.

4. Responsibilities of Validators

Setup and Maintenance:
  • Validators must ensure vNodes are correctly configured, connected to a stable power source, and maintain consistent internet access.
  • Regular monitoring and software updates are required to maintain network participation.

Security:
  • Validators must safeguard vNode hardware, wallets, and private keys.
  • Any loss or compromise of private keys is the sole responsibility of the validator.

5. Staking and Rewards

  • Eligibility: Only verified users with VTRS tokens may participate in staking or delegation.
  • Reward Distribution: Staking rewards are distributed based on network activity. Validators and delegators share rewards according to network policies.

6. Limitations of Liability

Vitreus is not responsible for:
  • Hardware malfunctions, network outages, or operator errors resulting in loss of rewards or digital assets.
  • Financial losses incurred due to market fluctuations or staking activities.

7. Prohibited Activities

Validators and delegators must not:
  • Engage in malicious activities, such as spamming the network or exploiting vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct fraudulent or unauthorized actions that harm the network.

8. Modifications to Terms

  • Vitreus reserves the right to amend these Terms at its discretion. Changes will be communicated through official channels. Continued operation of a vNode constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

9. Termination

Vitreus may suspend or revoke access to the vNode network for:
  • Breach of these Terms.
  • Actions jeopardizing the security or stability of the network.

10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of The Cayman Islands, without regard to conflict of law principles.
