2. Definitions
- vApp: The official mobile application of Vitreus, enabling users to manage digital assets, operate vNodes, participate in governance, and explore decentralized applications.
- Recovery Seed Phrase: A unique, randomly generated 24-word phrase used to recover wallet access.
- Wallet: A secure digital storage solution within the vApp for managing VTRS tokens and other assets.
- Private Key: A cryptographic key granting access to Wallets; it must remain strictly confidential.
- NAC (Network Access Credentials): Credentials assigned after successful identity verification.
- Onfido: A third-party service provider conducting identity verification for compliance with KYC and AML regulations.
3. License and Use
License Grant: Vitreus grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the vApp solely for personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.
Prohibited Use: The vApp must not be used:
- To engage in unlawful activities, including fraud or money laundering.
- To compromise network security or integrity.
- In violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
4. User Responsibilities
Security: Users must:
- Safeguard their devices, private keys, and recovery seed phrases.
- Use the vApp only on secure devices free from malware.
- Avoid sharing private keys or recovery phrases with third parties.
Updates: Users are required to install updates to maintain security and access new features.
5. Recovery Seed Phrase
- Storage: Users must securely store their recovery seed phrases offline in a safe location.
- Irretrievability: Vitreus is not responsible for recovering lost or compromised recovery seed phrases.
- Usage: Enter the recovery seed phrase only within the vApp and only when prompted.
6. Identity Verification
- Users must complete identity verification via Onfido to access full functionality. This process includes submitting a government-issued ID and a live photo.
- Failure to complete verification may result in restricted access to certain features.
7. Limitations of Liability
Vitreus is not liable for:
- Loss of digital assets due to user error, device compromise, or network issues.
- Security breaches arising from user negligence or malware.
- Service interruptions, delays, or errors.
8. Modifications to Terms
- Vitreus reserves the right to modify these Terms at its sole discretion. Updates will be communicated within the vApp, and continued use constitutes acceptance of such changes.
9. Termination
Vitreus may suspend or terminate access to the vApp without notice for:
- Breaches of these Terms.
- Activities compromising the network or other users.
Termination does not absolve the user of responsibilities incurred under these Terms.
