The new and official community operations center that supports Vitreus. It is still early stage, but we're beginning the infrastructure transition today and soft-launching the website live.
VITCOM's Mission
Up until now, we have had one big team called the 'C.A.T.' team, which was like a group of freelancers helping out where they could. This worked for a while, but recently had presented struggles and many gaps, such as not enough social media attention or support ticket overload, or the lack of education due to the previous team's design flaws.
As we enter this new year, we're aiming at a fresh start, with a new team dynamic. Now 3 teams support the journey, and everyone on C.A.T. has transitioned to one of the following teams, to put better focus towards the goals of that operation, rather than 'everyone doing everything' which wasn't living up to the needs of the community as well as it could. VITCOM also aims at reaching those not using our Discord, so everyone can learn about Vitreus from any media platform.

EDUCATION 📚
Primary goal is to simplify our documents and content. We have so much of it, and the vast majority is technically complex. We're working on simplifying everything to a level of understanding that not only helps the community, but makes it easier for new audiences to learn about Vitreus
SIEGE 🎺
Nick, our CMO, is climbing a mountain in a very competitive web3 space. It's in all of our interests to support him. Siege team's primary goal is to strategize across social media the best locations, times, and content to push aggressively to gain viewers (and ultimately builders) on our ecosystem.
GUARD 🛡️
This team represents what many of you considered the C.A.T. team to be, supporting agents for customer service, and the spirit of our channels helping to drive the conversations and provide information and assistance when necessary. They also maintain the server's security against attackers.
OPERATORS
We didn't forget about you vNode operators. You're an important part of our community too, and now we're showcasing that with your own area of this community website.
Volunteer Efforts
A major difference with this new teams structure, is it allows for the community to become more actively involved without any stress or obligations that an official position might have. Next week, we'll launch signups so that the public can participate on any team they wish. They'll get insight into it's operations, and staff guidance on how they can help drive a team towards success, ultimately for the good of Vitreus. Stay tuned for signups!
Final Thoughts
This is not designed to replace the Vitreus website, which is more business oriented. VITCOM is designed to focus around and support the community, the foundation, and to provide a welcoming first step for new users who find it overwhelming to begin their journey at Vitreus. As a community operation, I encourage everyone to contribute their thoughts and opinions inside our | vitcom Discord channel. We will be aggressively improving and adding content to this operation in the days, weeks, and months ahead, especially in the Education section.
